I really had a great experience at the shop in Oakland. I really felt like the team went above and beyond the Call of Duty to get the right parts for my car and get the job done right.
Had a transmission that was delaying shifting and then shifting with a big clunk. People told me that it was probably coming apart and it could cost me up to $3000. Took it to these great people and they fixed it by reprograming the controls and checking everything out. Cost a little over $300. Very happy. Good people.
The place is a bit rough around the edges, but the crew does great work, they take customer schedules seriously, and from my transmission replacements – I think they offer really fair prices. good stuff
2015 Tahoe original transmission went out at 149000mi. Chevy wanted near 10k to rebuild it, Aamco Oakland did so for 5600k. I was stunned at how quick it took the team fixed it after new year holiday, finished week. The service was awesome, Kareem is a true gentleman, very professional, provided frequent updates, worked with my busy schedule to return car with no added charge (they keep your care stored in facility for security). + 2yr warranty. Currently driving well after 3wks of having car back. I would definitely recommend this center for your transmission needs.
Kareem at amcco fix my car also told me what else was wrong with my car even called to make sure that my car was running good very friendly and work with me on the price help with financiaing which other place didn't do so this is the place to go to get your transmission done.
I was devastated when my transmission went out. Kareem and his team did an extraordinary job assessing, repairing and restoring my vehicle. This was back in October 2024 and my car is still running smoothly. I do not expect it to last forever but in the future, will take it straight to Kareem and his team! I recommend them!
