I really had a great experience at the shop in Oakland. I really felt like the team went above and beyond the Call of Duty to get the right parts for my car and get the job done right.
Had a transmission that was delaying shifting and then shifting with a big clunk. People told me that it was probably coming apart and it could cost me up to $3000. Took it to these great people and they fixed it by reprograming the controls and checking everything out. Cost a little over $300. Very happy. Good people.
The place is a bit rough around the edges, but the crew does great work, they take customer schedules seriously, and from my transmission replacements – I think they offer really fair prices. good stuff

Aamco was very knowledgeable and professional about doing my transmission rebuild. Though the price was not ideal, the owner and his staff was very straight forward with me about the issues and communicated with me throughout the process. They were able to complete it withing a week. My car changes gears with ease and rides almost like new. Thank you Aamco.
